Effect of New Traffic Rules: Long queues in front of Emission Checking Centres

September 13, 2019

Sir,

Since three days I have been visiting several Vehicle Emission Checking Centres in Mysuru and seen long queues of vehicles, both two and four-wheelers, going for emission testing. Finally, near the RTO Office I got my two-wheeler emission checked today.

The heavy rush may be primarily because of New Traffic Rules which I wholeheartedly welcome. I want every vehicle driver not only to keep all documents perfect but also to follow traffic rules carefully and drive with caution to avoid accidents.

Also I request, through this column, all vehicle owners, both two and four-wheelers, to cover half portion of the high beam lights with black paint to avoid dazzling lights during night time to prevent accidents.
