Mysuru: The Central Meelad Committee, Meelad Bagh on Ashoka Road has organised Eid Meelad-un-Nabi – 1501st birthday of Prophet Muhammed – tomorrow (Aug. 26) from 5.30 pm to 10 pm at Meelad Park on Ashoka Road in city.

The celebrations will be held under the Presidentship of Central Meelad Committee President and MLA Tanveer Sait and under the guidance of Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff.

Islamic clerics, scholars and Ulmas will speak on the life of Prophet Muhammed in Kannada, Urdu and English. Tanveer Sait, Sir Khazi Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff and dignitaries will be felicitated.

Separate seating arrangement has been made for ladies and the celebrations will conclude by performing Fatha Khawni, Duwa and Darud-o-Salam.

A procession of Meelad tableaux will be taken out from Meelad Park Circle which will pass via Sawday Road, Savoy Chowk, Yousuf Chowk, Dr. Zakir Hussain Circle and Mission Hospital Circle.   Committee Secretary Afroz Pasha will distribute prizes, certificates and mementos to best tableau at Tipu Hall on Sawday Road. Central Tanzeem Ahle Sunnath-wo-Jamath Trust, Mysuru,  will also celebrate Jashne Eid Meelad-un-Nabi in grand manner on Aug. 27 at 7.30 pm at Meelad Bagh on Ashoka Road in city.

The celebrations will be held under the Chairmanship of Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff and Hon. Qazi of Idhara Shariya at Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar District Hazarath Moulana Mufti Sajjad Hussain Khan Misbahi and under the guidance of Chief Patron of Darul Uloom Azeezia at Mamballi Hazarath Moulana Sufi Mohammed Anwar Ahmed Nizami Ashrafi and Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Shabeer Hussain Hasmathi and other Ulma-e-Ahle Sunnath-wo-Jamath. MLA Tanveer Sait will be the chief guest.

Islamic Cleric Hazarath Moulana Mufti Peer Syed Mohammed Maki Rashid Miyan Ashraf Ashrafi Jeelani of Kachucha Shariff in Uttar Pradesh will be the main speaker. Isha Salath (Night Prayer) will be performed at 8.15 pm on Aug. 27 at Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road. Separate seating curtain arrangement has been made for ladies.

The programme will conclude with Fatha Khawni, Darud-o-Salam and Duwa. Tabruk (mass feeding) is arranged for the participants at Masjid-e-Azam.

Khateeb of Masjid Aqsa Hazarath Moulana Abdul Salam Razvi, Hon. Khateeb of Masjid-e-Azam Hazarath Moulana Mufti Shamshul Huda Samadi, Shahi Imam of Tipu Tomb in Srirangapatna Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Inayath-ur-Rehaman Razvi and others will be present.
