Eid Milan held in city

Mysuru: “We have to make Sarva Janangada Shantiya Thota, the dream of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu into reality,” said Narasimharaja MLA Tanveer Sait.

He was speaking at the Eid Milan programme organised by Responsible Citizens’ Voice at a private hotel in city recently, which was attended by eminent personalities from various walks of life.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tanveer Sait said that Rashtrakavi Kuvempu, through his famous couplet Sarvajanangada Shanthiya Thota saw a beautiful dream of communal harmony and we should unitedly try to make it a reality.

Sait said that the aim of Eid Milan programme was to spread the message of communal harmony and brotherhood.

Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda, who too spoke lauded the organisers for organising the programme to spread the message of communal harmony. “One day we celebrated Ugadi and the next day we celebrated Ramzan. The citizens of Mysuru always lived in communal harmony,” he added.

Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff also spoke.
