Mysuru: “Our nation belongs to Sufis and Saints. Our city always loved peace and communal harmony and the followers of different religions and faiths are living together as brothers and sisters,” opined Tanveer Sait, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Auqaf and Minorities Development.
Speaking at the “Eid Milan for Unity” programme organised by Azeez Sait Block Congress Committee President Abdul Khader Sahid on Thursday at Milan Function Hall, Mysuru-Bengaluru Road, Tanveer Sait called upon the citizens to spread the message of peace, communal harmony and brotherhood.

Shoukath Pasha, Ayaz Pasha and Ayub Khan; Syed Yunuss, Secretary, Jamia Tipu Sulthan; Jameel Ahmed Ashrafi, General Secretary, Tanzeem-e-Ahle Sunnath O Jamaath; Syed Abbas, Managing Director, ABS Group of Hotels; Mohamed Mumtaz Ahmed, Secretary, Mysore District Relief Committee; Congress leaders Iqbal Ahmed and Shoukath Ali Khan and others were on the dais.

A ghazal programme was also arranged after the Eid Milan get-together. Noted singer Zahid Ulla Khan and Party presented some ghazals and qawwalis.
