Elderly man succumbs to injuries

Mysuru:  A 86-year-old man who had met with an accident on Mar. 20 near Sheshadripuram College in V.V. Puram Police limits, succumbed to injuries yesterday at his residence.

The deceased is Ramegowda, a resident of Manchegowdanakoppal near Hebbal. He was knocked down by a two-wheeler when he was walking towards his agriculture fields. He was rushed to K.R. Hospital where he underwent a surgery on his leg and was later shifted to a private hospital where he slipped into coma. He was discharged five days back and was under private nursing care at his residence where he breathed his last yesterday after failing to respond to the treatment, according to Police. V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Prakash has registered a case.
