Elderly woman dies of burns

Mysuru: An elderly woman died of burn injuries at a private hospital in city yesterday. The deceased has been identified as M. Susheela (87), a resident of Kantharaja Urs Road in Lakshmipuram.

The Police said that Susheela received burn injuries when her nighty caught fire after coming in contact with the lamp in the puja room at 10 am while her sister was having breakfast after completing her puja rituals. Soon she was shifted to a private hospital at Narayana Shastri Road where she succumbed at around  8.45 pm yesterday.

Lakshimpuram Police have registered a case. The body was handed over to her relatives after the post-mortem.
