Elderly woman relieved of gold chain

Mysuru: A bike-borne miscreant has managed to snatch away a part of a gold chain from a woman, who was walking in front of her house in Ramakrishnanagar here yesterday night.

The woman, who lost about 75 percent of her 50 grams chain, has been identified as 60-year-old Jayamma.

Jayamma, after having her dinner, was walking in front of her house at about 8 pm, when the miscreant, yanked off her gold chain. Though Jayamma held on to the chain, the miscreant managed to flee with a major part of the gold chain.

A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station in this regard.
