Elderly woman sustains injuries in road mishap

Mysuru: In a hit and run case, an elderly woman sustained serious head injuries when she was hit by a car in front of the KSRTC Depot  on Nelson Mandela road here  last night.

The injured woman has been identified as Lakshmamma (62), a resident of C.V. Road in N.R. Mohalla.

Lakshmamma was crossing the road in front of KSRTC Depot at about 8.30 pm, when she was knocked by a car, which sped away from the spot.

Lakshamma who sustained serious head injuries was rushed to K.R. Hospital and later shifted to a hospital in Bannimantap where her condition is said to be critical.

N.R. Traffic Police who have registered a case in this regard are investigating.
