Mysuru: The 47th Annual District Convention of Lions District 317A was held recently at Shubhodini Convention Centre in city.

The elections for both Districts 317A and newly Bifurcated District 317G comprising Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar Revenue Districts were held during the Convention and those elected for the New District 317G are as follows:

Lion Dr. N. Krishnegowda, Charter President of Lions Club of Mysore Vivekanandanagar, was elected as the District Governor for the year 2023-24. He secured 138 votes against  total 244 polled.

Lion N. Subramanya, Charter Member of Lions Club of Mysore Garden City, was elected as the First Vice-District Governor for 2023-24 by securing 172 votes while Lion K.L. Rajashekara, Charter Member of Lions Club of Mandya, as the Second Vice-District Governor (154 votes).

The newly formed Lions District 317G will come into effect from July 1, 2023.
