M.N. Nataraj to promote historical sites in Kabini backwaters as religious tourism centres
Mysore/Mysuru: M.N. Nataraj, former State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, has been elected unanimously as the President of historically famous Sri Baneshwara Swamy Temple Trust, Magge village, H.D. Kote taluk in the district.
According to a press release from M.V. Nandakumar, Treasurer and senior member of the Temple Trust, Nataraj was elected as the President of the Trust, during the annual general body meeting held on Apr. 18. Ragalakuppe Vinod and Antarasanthe Subramanya were elected as Vice-Presidents, Taraka Subramanya as Secretary and M.V. Nandakumar of Mysuru as Treasurer.
Speaking on the occasion, Nataraj said, he will strive to promote three historical places namely Magge Baneshwara Swamy temple, Bheemanakolli Mahadeshwara Swamy temple and Varirameshwara temple at Terani Manti in Kittur, located at Kabini backwaters as religious tourism centres, by connecting them through boat.
