Bengaluru: The Election Commission (EC) has said that it has no objection to the implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, that has increased salary of State Government employees.

The Commission made its stand clear after the office of the Chief  Electoral Officer sought its opinion on implementation of the revised pay scales when the Model Poll Code of Conduct is in force.

Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar said that the Commission has issued its ‘No Objection’ since the Cabinet had approved the recommendations on Mar. 3, before the Model Code of Conduct came into force.
