Mysore/Mysuru: With the Assembly elections of the State a year away, the Election Commission has published the final list of eligible voters concerning all 11 Assembly segments of the district, according to which there are 25,97,210 voters ( 12,94,943 men, 13,02,060 women and 207 others) in Mysuru district.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, who is also the District Electoral Officer, a total of 14,780 young voters who achieved voting age as on Jan. 1, 2022, were included in the list.
While Chamundeshwari Assembly segment has the highest number of voters (3,15,072), Periyapatna has the least number of voters (1,87,874). Women voters have outnumbered men in numbers. K.R. Nagar Constituency has 2,10,333 voters, Hunsur: 2,36,070, H.D. Kote: 2,23,501, Nanjangud: 2,16,120, Krishnaraja: 2,49,471, Chamaraja: 2,42,369, Narasimharaja: 2,83,452, Varuna: 2,29,494 and T. Narasipur: 2,03,454.
The new electoral rolls has been put up at the Tahsildar’s Office in all the taluks and MCC office in city. The electoral rolls are also available in the official websites: ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in and mysore.nic.in.
