Eleven-year-old boy ends life

Mysore/Mysuru: A 11-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his house in Nazarbad Police limits yesterday.

The deceased boy was studying in fifth standard at a reputed school in city. As there was a parents’ meeting at the school, the boy had returned home at about 2.30 pm. His mother had gone to a temple and when she returned at about 3.30 pm, she saw her son hanging, removed the noose and immediately rushed him to a hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.

It is learnt that the boy was very good in his studies and had shown interest in football and other sports. His teacher had also given a good opinion about him at the parents’ meeting.

Nazarbad Police, who registered a case, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members. Nazarbad Police are investigating.
