Encourage public transport

March 23, 2018

Sir,

The spread of roads and by-lanes in Mysuru is shocking. Narrow roads and dangerous arteries are on the rise.

The number of private vehicles and autos is also wantonly on the rise. The RTO must act swiftly or else it will face dangerous tributaries and lanes.

The public should be encouraged to commute by public transport on our clogged roads. Safety standards should be publicised by the RTO  to educate the public to travel in public utility transport vehicles and leave the streets free of congestion. Merely making one-way roads and lanes will not solve the traffic problem.
