Mysuru: Acharya Vidya Kula (AVK) hosted the Second V. Siddharthacharry Memorial English Declamation Fest recently. The event was open to students of classes VIII and IX. In all, 32 students from 8 schools participated.

Prof. B.N. Balaji,  Prof. D. Geetha, Prof. Geetha Gangadharan and Dr. S. Shobana were the judges.  The prize winners are:

Std. VIII: First prize – Ridwa S. Rai, St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar; Second – Arushi Pampadi, Excel Public School, Mysuru; Third – Sritama Ghosh, NPS International, Mysuru.

Std. IX: First prize – Shriya Shridar, Santhome Public School, Mandya; Second – Pramath Chandra, Excel Public School; Third – U. Parvitha, SVEI Public School, Mysuru.

Judges’ Appreciation Prize – Sindhu Bhat, Kautilya Vidyalaya, Mysuru.

The Rolling Shield was won by Excel Public School.
