EPF Pensioners seek a fair deal

Mysuru: Over 400 members of Karnataka State EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) Retired Employees Organisation stage a protest in front of EPF Office in Gayatripuram here this morning urging the Government to fulfil the demands of       EPF pensioners.

The demands include a minimum monthly pension of Rs.7000, Dearness Allowance linked with Consumer Price Index, Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) or Ayushman Bharat Yojana for pensioners, changes in commutation equation and full pension for spouse of the deceased pensioner. A memorandum to the PF Commissioner was also submitted.

The pensioners warned to intensify the stir to block trains if the Government fails to consider the demands.

Organisation District President S.P. Ningegowda, General Secretary R.G. Mohankrishna, Treasurer K.V. Basavanna and others were present.
