Mysuru: Maintaining that no creature on earth is born untalented, former Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) K. Arkesh asserted that every human being  has one talent or the other.

He was speaking after inaugurating a campus awareness programme for first year Post-Graduate students of the University of Mysore (UoM) at Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Hall in the University campus on Monday.

Noting that the UoM has produced many great personalities who have won national and international awards and prizes, Arkesh reiterated that every student has a hidden talent  and it is important for the elders to identify it and educate them on achieving their set goals.

Pointing out that every achiever should have a time sense, he said that it was important for everyone to respect others. He advised the students to groom their talent and to bring laurels for the country. 

UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar , in his address, called upon the students to hone their skills to perfection in their chosen fields. He further said that the UoM has launched ‘Career Hub,’ which is aimed at providing job opportunities to at least a thousand students.

UoM Registrars Prof. R. Shivappa and Prof. K.M. Mahadevan and Finance Officer Prof. T.S. Devaraj  were present.
