Mysuru: “At a time when our rich culture is facing threat, everyone should strive for saving it,” said Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa.
He was speaking at the 10th Madhwa Purandarotsava organised by Srigowri Sangeetha Shaale, in association with Kannada and Culture Department at Gopalaswamy Educational Institution premises near Nanjumalige here on Sunday.
Lauding the Sangeetha Shaale for striving to save our rich culture, Srivatsa said that our culture has survived because of the efforts of Mutts, Ashrams and other such organisations.
The winners of various music contests organised as part of Madhwa Purandarotsava were distributed prizes on the occasion.
Sanskrit lecturer Dr. B.N. Vijayendrachar, Gopalaswamy Educational Institutions Principal N.R. Manjunath, Violinist V. Ambaprasad, Sangeetha Shaale head Ramamani Guruprasad and others were present.
