Ex-GP Member found dead under mysterious circumstances

April 25, 2023

Pandavapura: Mystery shrouds over the death of former Hiremarali Gram Panchayat (GP) Member, whose body was found near the French Burial Grounds at Harohalli village in the taluk yesterday morning.

The deceased is B.C. Lokesh (50), a resident of Baleattiguppe village.

Lokesh, who left his house at about 8.30 pm on Sunday, had not returned and his body was found near the French Burial Grounds on Monday morning. His bike was found near the body and there were wounds on his person.

It is suspected that Lokesh had gone to attend nature’s call and as the road was very narrow he may have slipped and fell down resulting in him sustaining injuries and breathing his last.

The body was shifted to Pandavapura General Hospital, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.

A case has been registered at Pandavapura Police Station.
