Bengaluru: Former Minister and senior BJP leader B.C. Nagesh (67) passed away at a Bengaluru Hospital on Tuesday following prolonged illness.

He leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter. B.C.Nagesh who was elected from Tiptur Assembly Constituency on a BJP ticket  twice in 2008 and 2018, had served as the Minister for Primary and Higher education in the Basavaraj Bommai led BJP Government. An Engineering Graduate, Nagesh was associated with ABVP since his student days and joined the BJP in 1984 and continued to serve the party for four decades.

His last rites were performed at his native Constituency Tiptur in Tumakuru district this afternoon.
