Mysore/Mysuru: In separate cases, an ex-serviceman is among two persons who have committed suicide in city.
In the first case, Mohan (55), an ex-serviceman, committed suicide by hanging self at his house in J.P. Nagar here, according to the Police. Mohan, who was staying with his wife and two daughters, took the extreme step in the room on the first floor of the house and the reason for Mohan to end his life is yet to be known. Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered a case.
In the second case, Chaitra (25), a resident of Medini village in Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district, reportedly committed suicide by consuming excessive tablets in Mysuru on Monday.
Passersby, who saw Chaitra writhing in pain near the tonga stand, opposite to Sub-Urban Bus Stand, informed the Police, who rushed to the spot and got her admitted to K.R. Hospital and was later shifted to a private hospital for further treatment, where she died, according to Nazarbad Police. Nazarbad Police, based on the complaint from girl’s father Mahadevappa, have registered a case.
