Ex-servicemen asked to apply for sites instead of seeking land

With the administration facing land crunch,  the Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement has asked eligible ex-servicemen to apply for residential sites as an alternative for seeking agricultural land as a means of  resettlement, post retirement from defence services.Ex-servicemen, who have not been allotted agricultural land for lack of land availability in their respective taluks, can apply for residential sites of 2,400 sq.ft area in case of rural areas and 1,200 sq.ft in urban areas.

The prescribed form for applying for sites is available for free at the Department Office and eligible ex-servicemen of Mysuru district can apply along with all required documents by May 15, 2022, according to a press release from the Deputy Director of the Department.
