Exam Fear: Girl student commits suicide

Nanjangud:  A girl student, fearing that she would fail in her exams as she had not prepared well, committed suicide by hanging self at her residence yesterday.

The deceased student was pursuing her 2nd PU course at T.Narasipur Pre-University College and was a resident of Bilugali village in the taluk.

The deceased student was to write her exams from Mar. 4 and was depressed as she had not prepared well. Fearing that she would fail in the exams, the girl hanged self at her house yesterday, when the family members were away. Meanwhile, the girl’s mother in her complaint to Biligere Police has stated that her daughter committed suicide fearing exams and no one was responsible for her death. Biligere Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
