Mysore/Mysuru: The following students of NIE First Grade College have excelled at Mysore University Inter-Collegiate Best Physique and Weightlifting Competitions (2023-24) for Men organised by the Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore (UoM) and JSS Science & Technology University (JSS STU) at JSS STU in city in the month of March:

Best Physique: D.R. Darshan of III B.Sc won gold medal in 80 kg weight category, B.P. Alok of II B.Com won gold medal in 75 kg weight category and V. Dhanush of II B.Sc won bronze medal in 65 kg weight category.

Weightlifting: K.V. Adithya of II B.Com won gold medal in up to 87 kg weight category.

NIE FGC also won the Overall Championship Runners Trophy.
