The NIE Men Chess team won the VTU Inter-Collegiate Rest of Bengaluru Zone Chess Championships 2018-19 at PESCE Mandya by scoring 18 points out of possible 24 points from 6 Rounds and Runners-up in VTU Inter-Zone Chess Championships 2018-19 at MVJCE, Bengaluru, by scoring 14 points out of possible 20 points from 5 rounds.
