John Baptist of Mysore District Powerlifting Association has secured second place in 74-kg weight class at the Karnataka State Master II Powerlifting Championship organised by Karnataka Powerlifting Association at Gurunarasimha Open Air auditorium in Saligrama, Udupi, from Feb. 26 to 28.

N. Mohan of Social Welfare Department has bagged first place in 82.5-kg powerlifting, first place in body building (75 kg) and second place in 91-kg weightlifting competitions organised as part of the 2020-2021 State Government Employees Mysuru District-level Sports Meet conducted jointly by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat (ZP), Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) and Karnataka State Government Employees Association (KSGEA), District Branch, Mysuru, at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13.

John and Mohan are trained under N. Eshwar at Jai Bheem Power India School in Ashokapuram.
