Mysore/Mysuru: ATL Marathon is a flagship competition organised by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India, that aims to create and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
The ATL Marathon 2020 witnessed over 1,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) participating from across the country, in which 7,200 innovations from 32 States and 324 districts were submitted. 300 top innovative projects and ideas were selected by the AIM and top 10 teams from each State was also announced.
Three teams from Excel Public School (EPS), Mysuru, made it to the ‘Top 300’ projects:
Teams comprising M. Samiksha, Ritcha Thomas and Kanisha Gangamma (all students of Class 9) were selected for their project named ‘SRK’ under the category ‘Infrastructure’; Another innovative project titled ‘Green Techies’ developed by Astha Kothari, Anvita Mathew and Praneet Kaur (all students of Class 12) also figured in the list of top performers under the category, ‘Demand’; ‘The Dawn’ consisting of Kavin Mahesh, K.V. Chittara and Stuthi Jain (all students of Class 7) was another team to make it to the Top 300 league. They were selected under the category ‘System’.
The projects presented by teams from EPS were also ranked at the First, Second and Fifth positions at State-level. The Atal Tinkering Lab at EPS has been consistently winning laurels in ‘ATL Marathons’ and ‘ATL of the Month’ events.
The selected team of ATL Marathon 2020 would get a chance to undergo Student Internship Programme (SIP) with AIM’s corporate partners and incubation centres to further enhance and hone their skills and develop prototypes.
