Mysuru:  Rakshith Gowda, a 1st PU student of SVG Vishwaprajna Composite PU College, secured first place in Kumite (16-17 boys category)  at All India Hakuakai Open Karate Championship-2018 held recently.

Gandharvika Shastry, a 5th standard student of Pramati Hillview Academy, secured 1st place in Girls Individual Kata in the Mabuni Cup-2018 Karate Competition organised by All India Shitoryu Karate-do Union at Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium, Nazrabad in city recently. She is trained in Karate under Sensei A. Shivadas.

Another city student R. Nandan has secured 2nd place in Kata and won silver medal in the 2nd International Karate Championship-2018 held in Shivamogga recently. He is the son of Shobha and Rajachary.
