City’s swimming coach V. Jagadeesha, taking part in the first Federation Cup National Masters Games 2024 held at Hyderabad from May 22 to 24, has won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals in swimming events.

Jagadeesha won two gold medals in 400 mts individual medley and 200 mts butterfly, silver medal in 200 mts breaststroke and bronze medals in 100 mts butterfly and 200 mts backstroke in the above 55 men’s age group. He has been honoured by various organisations for his contributions to swimming. He was conferred with ‘Karnataka Kreeda Ratna’ by Atmashri Kannada Samskrutika Prathishtana in 2019.
