B.V. Spoorthi, disciple of Vidu. Shrividya Shashidar of Shree Durga Nrithya Academy, Vidyaranyapuram in Mysuru, has secured third prize at the International Classical Dance and Music Festival (Bharatanatyam) organised by Purvai Sannskreetikala Vikaash Kendra, Kolkata  (West Bengal) recently.

A 5th standard student of  St. Thomas School, Vishweswaranagar, Spoorthi is the daughter of Venkateshmurthy and M.G. Savitha.
