Exclusively decorated ‘Sakhi’ booth

Hunsur: The Women’s Pre-University College in the town has been designated as ‘Sakhi’ polling booth for the Lok Sabha elections in Mysuru-Kodagu Constituency which is totally manned by women and exclusively decorated.

Vehicles have been arranged to bring the aged and disabled voters to the booth. A selfie zone is also set up in the booth for voters.

Suvarna Govinda Gupta was the first person to exercise franchise in this   special booth.

An 89-year-old H.A. Krishnamurthy also voted at the booth helped by his son and daughter-in-law.
