Extend Chamundi Express, Chennai Daily Express to Ashokapuram

March 12, 2024

Sir,

Ashokapuram Railway Station, inaugurated on Mar. 4,  marks a significant milestone for the region. The extension of four MEMU trains, Cauvery Express and Malgudi Express to the remodelled Station brings connectivity to the area.

I urge the Railway authorities to consider extending the daily Mysuru-Bengaluru Chamundi Express and Mysuru-Chennai daily train also to Ashokapuram.

This would benefit residents across 10 areas, including Srirampura, J.P. Nagar, BEML Nagar and Mysuru South.

I call upon elected reps from both Mysuru and Chennai, as well as other non-political organisations, to extend their support. By sending individual letters to Railways, we can collectively work towards enhancing transportation accessibility and improving quality of life for residents in Mysuru South.
