Factory employee killed in road accident

Jayapura: A 26-year-old youth, working at TVS factory was killed on the spot and pillion rider sustaining serious injuries in a road accident between his bike and a Tata vehicle on Mysuru-Hullahalli Main Road yesterday evening.

The deceased is Mahesh, son of Shivanna and Chikkasanamma couple of S. Kallahalli village. The seriously injured pillion rider, who has been admitted to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, has been identified as Chandan.

Mahesh, after finishing his duty at the factory was proceeding towards S. Kallahalli along with Chandan on his Pulsar bike (KA-09-HT-0898), when the Tata vehicle (KA-09-ME-2428) allegedly rammed into the bike at Tallur Circle, killing Mahesh on the spot. DySP Dr. Sumeet, Mysuru South Circle Inspector Jeevan, Jayapura Sub-Inspector K.C. Mohan, ASI Kanakadas and staff visited the spot. Jayapura  Police have registered a case.
