Fake note circulation: Youth sentenced to 13 years imprisonment

Mysuru: The 7th Additional District Court Judge has sentenced a youth from West Bengal to 13 years imprisonment for circulating fake currency note in city.

The youth who has been sentenced has been identified as Lobal Mohini, a resident of Bagalpur in West Bengal.

Nazarbad Police had arrested him while he was taking change from a farmer selling vegetables on M.G. Road here after giving him Rs. 1000 fake currency.

Nazarbad Police, after conducting interrogation had submitted a charge-sheet against the accused in the Court.

Judge Chandrashekar, who heard the arguments, found Lobal guilty and sentenced him to jail. Public Prosecutor Mahanthappa argued for the government.
