Fake RC card case: Middleman arrested in Madikeri

Madikeri: The Police have arrested a middleman Chetan, a resident of Ashokapura who was allegedly involved in issuance of fake RC Card for vehicles. 

A case has been registered against him for tampering with government records and cheating public. He was produced before the Court and was remanded to judicial custody.

It is said that one Shafiq of Napoklu is behind the fake RC Card racket who is believed to be absconding. Sources do not rule out the involvement of staff of Madikeri RTO.

The RC card issued to the complainant Kushalappa is said to be belonged to someone else and card had expired. The  data was manipulated and said to have been issued to Kushalappa.
