Mysuru:  A family of farmer at Yeshwanthapur in Saragur taluk in the district, has fulfilled the wish of the family head by donating his organs after the latter was declared brain dead following a road accident.

Rajaiah (60) had suffered severe injuries when a goods vehicle knocked him down near Gonthagalahundi lake, when he was proceeding towards his village from Saragur town on Aug. 13.

He had sustained injuries on his head, hands and legs and had fallen unconscious due to severe bleeding. Eventually he was declared brain dead, prompting his family members to decide on donating his organs for the cause of others.

According to his family members, Rajaiah, when he was alive had discussed several times with his children and other family members, about the significance of donating organs for the cause of others.
