Family feud: Man assaults wife with machete

Mysore/Mysuru: A man has allegedly assaulted his wife with a machete over family feud at Saraswathipuram yesterday morning.

Bangara Nayaka, a resident of Saraswathipuram, is the man, who has assaulted his wife Nagarathna, injuring her seriously.

Bangara Nayaka, who followed his wife Nagarathna, who was on her way to work, assaulted her with a machete at about 10 am near 7th Main Road in Saraswathipuram and fled from the spot.

Passersby admitted Naga-rathna to a private hospital nearby, where the doctors, who treated her, said she is out of danger.

Saraswathipuram Inspector Thimmaraju, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar.

Based on the complaint from Nagarathna, a case of assault and attempt to murder has been registered against her husband Bangara Nayaka by the Saraswathipuram Police.
