‘Family support must for a woman to succeed as an entrepreneur’

DRC’s Vaishali Hanumanth felicitates young women entrepreneurs

Mysore/Mysuru: Young women entrepreneurs Mahima Hegde (Founder – The Magical Garden and Sugared Rose), Moksha Sharma (Founder – Moksha Patissier & Chocolatier) and Shomika S. Rao (Founder – Alchemy Concepts & Co-Founder – TrekHub Adventures) were felicitated at the ’28th Sthapana Divas’ (Foundation Day) celebrations organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati, Mysuru Vibhagh, at a private hotel in V.V. Mohalla here yesterday.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Vaishali Hanumanth, Managing Partner, DRC Cinemas, Mysuru, opined that family support is key for a woman to become a successful entrepreneur.

Noting that one should not forget all those who had helped him or her when they faced hard times at some point in their lives, she said that an entrepreneur should take along all those who were involved in the success of an industry or business.

Pointing out that an appropriate life-style and following principles are crucial for becoming a successful entrepreneur, Vaishali Hanumanth said that everyone should also think about saving our nature and environment.

Expressing concern over growing air pollution in Mysuru, she called for making efforts to save our environment and ecology from further deterioration.

Laghu Udyog Bharati Mysuru Vibhagh Secretary K.M. Rajappa explained about the activities of the Vibhagh that covers the districts of Mysuru, Kodagu, Mandya and Chamarajanagar, the growth of small industries and the programmes undertaken in rural areas.

Mysuru Vibhagh President Dr. M. Mahesh Shenoy, Vice-President B.S. Prashanth, entrepreneurs Bindu Patel, Deepak, Padmavathi S. Bhat, Manimala and others were present.
