Farm loan waiver: Farmers to stage protest tomorrow

Mysuru:  Strongly condemning the State Government’s delay in announcing complete farm loan waiver, farmers will stage a demonstrations in city on June 18.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Friday, KRRS General Secretary Badagalapura Nagendra said that CM Kumaraswamy had sought 15 days time to work out a scheme on farm loan waiver. But with no official word yet on loan waiver even after the 15-day deadline, the farmers have no other option but to stage protests, which will be held across the State on June 18, he said and added that the protests will be intensified if CM Kumaraswamy fails to deliver on his promise of farm-loan waiver.
