Farmer leader Puttannaiah’s statue to be unveiled at Pandavapura

Marking Farmers Day, the statue of farmer leader and late Melukote MLA K.S. Puttannaiah will be unveiled at Yennehole Koppal village in Pandavapura taluk at 11 am tomorrow (Dec.23). The day also marks the 70th birth anniversary of the late farmer leader. Freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy will unveil the statue. Swaraj India Party leader and activist Yogendra Yadav will inaugurate the programme. Senior farmer leader of Yennehole Koppal Y.G. Balakrishnegowda will preside. Twenty-five achievers will be conferred ‘Kayaka’ award on the occasion.
