Federation demands permission to start English medium classes

Mysuru: The Mysuru Division Aided and Unaided SC/ST Educational Institutions Federation has urged the government to grant permission for starting English medium classes from first standard in schools run by SC/ST communities.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Federation President Shantaraju demanded the Government to relax rules for permitting English medium classes in aided/unaided schools belonging to SC/ST communities.

He further wanted the government to extend the facilities accorded to minorities institutions to SC/ST Educational Institutions as well. Federation Hon. President H. Subbaiah, office-bearers D. Gopal, M. Savakaiah and C.G. Shivakumar were present at the press meet.
