Mysuru: Farooqia  PU College, Eidgah, Mysuru, recently felicitated meritorious students of II PUC March-2017 exam.

Prof. Riyaz Ahmed presented Faqre Farooqia Abdul Jabbar Hiremalali Memorial Award to the college topper S.M. Abdul Hameed who scored 92% while  Taj Mohammed, Hon. Secretary, Rifahul Muslimeen Educational Trust, conferred Azeez Sait Memorial Academic Achievement Award to Sadiya Banu who secured distinction in    Commerce ( 91.8%).

Salman Khan, Science topper (90.6%) received Shane-Farooqia Asadulla Baig Memorial Award from Prof. M. Sayeed Ahmed, Hon. Secretary of the College. Dr. Syed Abdul Khuddus honoured Neha Kouser (Arts topper).

Prof. Noor Ahmed Khan, chief guest, conferred Prof. M. Sayeed Ahmed Centurion Award to Mohammed Sufiyan, who scored cent percent marks in Computer Science. Mirza Ateequr Rehman presented Prof. Mirza Habeebur Rehman Memorial Jabir Bin Hayan Award to Salman Khan (Chemistry). Prof. Syed Nasir Hassan and College Principal Abdul Jabbar presented Syed Abdul Kareem and Khurshueedunnisa Memorial Cash Prizes to Salman Khan who scored highest marks in Science combination and in Chemistry.

Prof. Mohammed Jaffer and Prof. Syed Nasir Hassan, distributed Syed Ahmed Hilaluddin & Khairunnisa Memorial Cash Prizes to college topper S.M. Abdul Hameed and distinction holders Sadiya Banu, Salman Khan, Md. Sufiyan, Saifulla Khan, Simran Banu, BiBi Khuteja and Aliya Khanum.

Alhaj Syed Mushahir Hassan instituted and presented four Cash Prizes in memory of his father Syed Abdul Karim to Sheliya Md. Abdul Hameed (College Topper), S.M. Abdul Hameed (Commerce Topper), Salman Khan (Science Topper) and Neha Kouser (Arts Topper).

He also gave away Cash Prizes in memory of his mother Khursheedunnisa to Mohammed Sufiyan (Topper in Urdu – 94%),  S.M. Abdul Hameed (93% in Urdu) and Sadiq Ahmed (Kannada Topper – 82%).
