Farooqia celebrates 40th College Day

Mysuru/Mysore: Farooqia PU College, Eidgah, Mysuru, celebrated its 40th Annual College Day  recently. 

Tanveer Hasan, Information and Knowledge Manager, Wikimedia Foundation, San Francisco,  USA, was the chief guest .

 One of the meritorious students of Farooqia PU College, he shared experience during his college days and stated that the main responsibility of a student is to study and be a good citizen.

 He was felicitated by Prof. M Sayeed Ahmed, Hon. Secretary after he distributed prizes to winners of sports competition..

Taj Mohammed Khan, Hon. Secretary of Rifahul Muslimeen Educational Trust (RMET) presided and distributed prizes to winners in literary competition.

Dr. Syed Abdul Khuddus, Hon. Treasurer of the College announced the prizes for winners of Kareem Sonenahalli Mohammed Dastagir & Ramiza Bi Memorial Inter-collegiate Islamic written quiz competition. He also announced prizes for winners of Nidgatta Mohammed Budan Dadajan Memorial Inter-collegiate Islamic oral Quiz and presented best athlete shield to Tahib Pasha of II PUC Commerce.  

The function commenced with a Qirath by M.H. Maaz and Mohammed Haaris of II PU Commerce. Ilyas Ahmed Khan, Principal welcomed  and distributed College topper award to Syeda Arifa Sultana and subject topper award to  Ateeq Pasha and Ateeq Ahmed. He also presented best athlete rolling shield to Fathima Mufeeza of II PU Commerce. 

Farha Zoya, Lecturer in English presented a detailed report on the activities of the college for the year 2018-2019. Maaz  of II PU Commerce and Aliya of I PU Arts entertained the audience with a melodious song. The function concluded with vote of thanks by Madiha Maimoon of II  PU Science.
