Female Foeticide Case: One more accused nabbed, total arrests reach nine

Mandya: Mandya Police, who are investigating into the female foeticide case reported in Pandavapura recently, have made yet another arrest.

The Police arrested Shruthi (32), a resident of Ganigara Beedhi in K.R. Pet.

According to Police, Shruthi worked at the private clinic of late Dr. Manjunath, who was one of the accused in the female foeticide case reported from a jaggery manufacturing unit in Hadya, Mandya taluk.

It is alleged that Shruthi was involved in many female foeticide cases including the one reported in Pandavapura.

Acting on a tip-off, Police Inspector Kumar, Sub-Inspector Umesh and staff arrested Shruthi and produced her before the Court after   medical examination.

The Court remanded the accused to judicial custody. With the arrest of Shruthi, the total number of arrests in the case has reached nine. Police are on the look out for other accused.
