Mysuru: City’s budding tennis prodigy Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar continued her prime form by emerging as winner in the U-14 Girls Doubles and runner-up in the Singles at the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship- 2025 held at Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) Complex in New Delhi recently.

She also got wild card for qualifying round of U-16 Girls category and won all 3 matches and made it to the main draw. However, in the main draw, she won two rounds and lost in the third round to top seed and tournament winner Parthasarathy Munde.

Padmapriya, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the U-14 Girls category in the country, showed spectacular performance in both U-14 and U-16 Girls category in the tournament.

A Class 8 student of Excel Public School, Mysuru, Padmapriya is the daughter of Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar, Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger), Mysuru and Dr. Malathi Priya, Conservator of Forests (Mysuru Circle).

Raghuveer Ponnuswamy and Pawan are her coaches while Sagar is her fitness trainer.
