Fight in classroom ends in student’s death

Mysore/Mysuru: A fight which erupted in the classroom between two students at a prestigious college at J.P. Nagar here ended in the murder of a student on Tuesday evening.

The deceased student is Krishna (16), son of Satish of Mahadevapura here. He was pursuing his 1st year PUC course at the College.

It is learnt that a fight over a petty reason began between another 1st PU student Abhishek and Krishna with both raining blows on each other. As the fight escalated, Abhishek gave a powerful blow with his fist on the cheek of Krishna resulting in Krishna falling unconscious.

According to Police, Krishna was admitted to a private hospital in city, where he breathed his last yesterday morning.

Based on the complaint from the College Administrative Board, Vidyaranyapuram Police conducted spot mahazar and registered a case. Post-mortem was conducted at MMC&RI mortuary and the body was handed over to the family members.
