Mysore/Mysuru: In aid of cancer patients, film actress Rishika Raj donated 14 inches of her hair at the special hair donation drive organised by Mysuru Hair and Beauty Association at Nivedithanagar Park auditorium here yesterday

Rishika Raj, who was the chief guest, turned emotional while sharing her moments with the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar.

Area Corporator Nirmala Harish, who was the guest of honour, expressed her happiness at holding such a noble activity for a cause.

Vimala S. Pandit, Assistant Jailor, Mysuru Central Jail, also donated her hair for cancer patients along with Swarna, Yeshtel TV associate, who had tonsured her head and Manasu Mohan, a 12-year-old child who  too donated their hair.

Association President Uma Jadav thanked all those who supported her service and said that about 150 members have donated their hair in the past one week and added that nearly 250 persons were part of this event yesterday.

Association Vice-President Veena Gowda, Secretary B.D. Jyothi, Adviser Dr. Krupa Anandamurthy, Treasurer Shanta Gowda, Joint Treasurer Anitha Bharath; Directors Roopa Ravi, Nandini, Roopa Salunkay, Komala and Deena were present on the occasion.
