‘Find out mistakes of Govt; place it before public through media conference’

June 17, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: KPCC Mysuru Division Media in-Charge Raju has urged his party leaders to find out mistakes in the State Government and bring it before people by holding media conferences and protests.

Addressing a special meeting at District Congress Bhavan in city on Monday, after being appointed as Media in-Charge of KPCC Mysuru Division, he said that KPCC has already explained about the work and responsibilities of the division.

A Media Spokesperson will be appointed for every Block and each Assembly Constituency. Holding press conference was not sufficient but they need to understand to how many people their message will reach.

In view of this, those who have taken the responsibility of media must tell people about the contributions and welfare schemes of the previous Congress Government and failures of the current dispensation.

Raju said that the KPCC has instructed to make the party’s Media Division, which was hitherto limited to Congress Office, effective and called upon Media Spokespersons to work honestly in this direction. The Party will appoint one who has the knowledge of current issues as Media Spokesperson in each Block. Such person must convene press conference or protest once in a week. Through this, they must attract more people towards the party.

The Media Division has a major role to play in view of coming elections to Zilla and Taluk Panchayats, and the Assembly Polls in another 20 months.

Everyone must get the opportunity to address press conferences and it must not be held for each and every issue. At any cost, they must not make baseless allegations. And before uploading any accusation in social media, it must be brought to the notice of Party President and facts should be verified, he added.

District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar, Party Spokespersons H.A. Venkatesh and M. Lakshman, Dist. Rural Vice-President Yadatale Manjunath, General Secretary Shivaprasad, KPCC Women’s Wing Mysuru City President Pushpalatha Chikkanna, former Mayor Chikkanna, City Seva Dal Unit President Girish and City Party Spokesperson Mahesh were present.
