Fine arts training valedictory tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The valedictory of fine arts training classes orgnaised by the Department of Kannada and Culture under SC/ST scheme for students residing in various SC/ST hostels in city will be held tomorrow at Kiru Rangamandira at 10.30 am.

Social Welfare and District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate. Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan said, “Students residing in SC/ST hostels were trained in theatre, folk songs, classical songs among others for six months. The Department had selected Devanand Varaprasad and Narayanaswamy, two established artistes, to train the students at the hostels. Now, students will exhibit their talents at the valedictory.”
