First-aid training for industrial workers and supervisors on Sept.29

Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) in association with the Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru Division, is jointly organising the 68th one-day training on first-aid  for industrial workers and supervisors on Sept.29 (Wednesday).

The need for first-aid is greater than ever because of the increased use of machines and electric appliances in every day work at home, work-place etc. putting people at risk of injury and calamities.

As per the statutory compliance, in every industry certain number of employees should be trained in first-aid and they should know the important procedure for treating the casualty. They should  also know the procedure of calling the ambulance and shifting the injured to the hospital.

R. Chethan, Superintendent of Police, Mysuru District, will inaugurate the programme which will be held from 9 am to 5.30 pm  at Hotel Shree Guru Residency, JLB Road Cross, Mysuru. R.K. Parthasarathy, Joint Director of Factories, Industrial Safety & Health, will preside.

 The faculty for this programme is an experienced Doctor Dr. Prakash, Secretary, St. John’s Ambulance Association Mysore chapter.  The programme will be presented through lectures, discussions, interactions and demonstrations.
